In shared living spaces, household tasks often become a source of tension, disorganization, and imbalance. TaskHive proposes a more collaborative and engaging approach through a mobile application designed to transform daily chores into a shared, motivating experience.

Organizing tasks without creating frustration

Organizing tasks without creating frustration

In shared living environments, household responsibilities are often distributed unevenly and implicitly.
Between forgotten chores, lack of organization, and feelings of unfairness, daily tasks can quickly become a source of conflict within the home.

01

Unequal task distribution

Certain people often end up handling more responsibilities than others, creating frustration over time.

02

Lack of visibility and organization

Without a clear system, it becomes difficult to track completed or upcoming tasks within the household.

03

A restrictive and unengaging experience

Household chores are rarely motivating and often lack collective involvement and engagement.

Reimagining the way daily tasks are organized

Reimagining the way daily tasks are organized

TaskHive was designed during a UX workshop built around three themes: household management, collaboration, and organization. From these constraints, we explored different ways of making household tasks more visible, collaborative, and motivating within shared living spaces.

Areas of Reflection

1. Simplifying task organization

Creating a clear experience that allows users to easily assign and track everyday tasks.

2. Encouraging participation

Imagining mechanics capable of making household chores more engaging through gamification.

3. Encouraging fairness within the household

Allowing everyone to clearly visualize responsibilities and collective progress in order to reduce frustration and encourage a fairer task distribution within the home.

To build the universe and experience of TaskHive, we went through several design stages, from developing the visual identity to creating the final interfaces of the application.

01

Colors

A color palette designed to make the experience warmer, more dynamic, and engaging. The orange tones bring energy to the interface while enhancing the visibility and accessibility of important elements.

02

Logo

The TaskHive logo, created in Illustrator, is inspired by the world of beehives and collaboration. The hexagonal shapes symbolize collective organization, task sharing, and community life.

03

Wireframes

The wireframes helped structure the application’s user flow and organize the features in a clear and intuitive way. This step helped define the screen architecture before moving on to the interface design phase.

04

Final Interfaces

The final interfaces reflect the visual universe and UX intentions defined throughout the project’s design process. The entire experience was designed to provide a clear, consistent, and engaging mobile experience for everyday use.
